David Silva confirms 2019/20 season will be his last at Man City

David Silva confirmed he was leaving Citizens at end of next seasonThe Spain international's departure will mark a 10-year spell with current Premier League champions when he leaves next summer.

Manchester City's No.21 has played 395 matches for the Citizens so far - including 33 last term when Pep Guardiola's rampant City side won a second successive Premier League trophy, finishing just one point clear of Liverpool.

The 33-year-old has been an integral part in City's teams who have risen to four PL titles, two FA Cups and four League Cups during his time at the Etihad Stadium.

At a press conference in Gran Canaria on Tuesday, Silva told reporters a decade at a football club was enough to call it a day. He added it would be the perfect time for him to leave, whereas City wanted him for two more years.

"It completes the cycle. It’s a nice round figure. I can never see myself playing against City for another team. So 10 years – that’s it."
