Villarreal vs Valencia Match Predictions and Betting Tips 11.04.2019

Marcelino García Toral, the Villarreal manager during 2013-16, is welcomed back at the de la Cerámica but this time on the opposing side with Valencia, who fell to their first defeat in two and a half months at the weekend, to Rayo Vallecano, a run that began on 22 January and with Marcelino having overseen 17 unbeaten games during this time.

Things haven't been so favourable for Villareal in the league though, failing to win in any of their last 3 matches which meant they continued to battle relegation sitting in 18th at the moment but, in the Europa League, they boast what seems to be a genuine fighting spirit having not lost any European clash this campaign.

Villarreal will doubtless be happy to get this tie started at home and they won't be willing to give it up after having come a long way in Europe so far - but will they be able to go all the way here and keep a La Liga registration along come May?

The Bats have not scored against Villarreal in their last two visits to Estadio de la Cerámica and the Yellow Submarine have been reluctant to give away goals on those occasions. It leads us to believe we might see very few goals scored here and this assumption is further reinforced by the fact the two sides have not seen both of them score in their last 4 encounters both ways and at Villarreal's home.
