Just 90 minutes separate Manchester City from the final showdown at Istanbul, having clinched an invaluable advantage in their first-leg victory over the French. However, a lot could change within 90 minutes of football, as their second-half showing in the opening leg would be testament to that old tale. 

Much to the chagrin of Paris Saint-Germain, that display from their opponents leaves them staring down the barrel of elimination from the Champions League.

This harrowing defeat sets up the French champions for an uphill task at the Etihad. While it might relieve them of the burden of it being theirs to lose, it leaves on them the onus of coming up trumps and doing so convincingly, as a 1-0 victory won't cut it this time.

Meanwhile, on the domestic front, Les Parisiens still sit in second on the league despite their narrow 2-1 victory over an impressive Lens side. Having taken the top spot after this victory, it turned out to be temporary, as Lille, who don't seem ready to let up soon, reclaimed the top spot following their victory over Nice later that evening.

With just one point separating them from the league leaders, and the little matter of their Coupe de France semi-final date with Montpellier, PSG are still very much in the running for a treble, although their progress in the Champions League is in apparent jeopardy at the moment.
