Here's our Valencia vs Betis Prediction analysis: Following their recent drubbing at the hands of Atalanta in the UEFA Champions League, and further humiliation at the hands of rivals Real Sociedad, Valencia have a point to prove. And what better way to do this than take on an equally out-of-sorts Real Betis side?
Match status: 2019-20 La Liga - Matchweek 26
Kick-off:
Venue: Mestalla (Valencia)
Valencia’s impeccable home record makes them overwhelming favourites in what promises to be an intense La Liga clash. Los Ches have performed averagely well in the league this season, a fact reflected by their league standing. Albert Celades’ side occupy the eighth position on the log, having garnered thirty-eight points from their twenty-five league clashes so far.

With it becoming increasingly difficult to secure a Champions League qualification spot, Los Ches will now have to focus their attentions on breaking into the top six, and secure a Europa League spot, at least.

Real Betis are in dire form, and they seem powerless to resist their slide down the league table. The visitors are winless in their last five league matches and have only collected three points out of a possible fifteen. More alarming, is the fact that Betis are now just six points away from the drop zone. Things could get worse as they come up against a Valencia side yet to lose at home in the league this season.

Valencia vs Real Betis Team News

Heavy defeats against Atalanta and Real Sociedad over the last seven days has left Valencia’s campaign on the verge of falling apart, and Los Che desperately need a positive result at home to Real Betis this weekend to re-stoke the fire at Mestalla.

Albert Celades’ men were battered 4-1 in the first leg of their Champions League Last 16 clash against La Dea, before suffering a 3-0 hiding at Real Sociedad last weekend. That result has left Valencia eighth in the La Liga table and five points behind the top four.

Los Che have now lost four of their last five matches in all competitions and morale is evidently at rock bottom. Nonetheless, Valencia’s troubles have all been on the road, and they go into this Saturday’s fixture against Betis seeking to maintain their unbeaten home record in La Liga this season.

Los Che have won seven and drawn six of their 13 league matches at Mestalla, so they will view this encounter as a decent chance to stem the tide, against a Betis outfit who have failed to win any of their last five league games.

Betis just can’t seem to buy a win at the moment. They seemingly had the perfect opportunity to bag an elusive victory at home to Mallorca last weekend, but they failed to beat Los Bermellones who rocked up at Benito Villamarin with just one point on the board from their previous 11 away games.

The 3-3 draw meant that Betis slipped down a place to 13th and their only realistic target now is to try and claim a top half finish.

With just one win in their last nine league games and only one victory from 13 away matches this season, Rubi’s side are definitely opposable for the three points this Saturday, despite Valencia’s current plight.

Valencia vs Betis Predictions

Valencia were unable to respond to their heavy loss against Atalanta in the UCL as they went down to a 3-0 defeat against Real Sociedad last week. They now host Real Betis who are without a win in their last five and with both teams desperate for a win, there should be goals at either end.
