The Gunners seem to have found their ground after the introduction of new coach Mikel Arteta. Before his reign, Arsenal was in the bottom half of the table and was playing some pretty shambolic football. That's no more. The Spanish technician has managed to transform the side's fortunes and turned the Gunners back to their attractive style of play reminiscent of the days under Arsene Wenger.

Overall, it has been a rocky season for Arsenal with 27 points after 21 games (W6 D9 L6) and before their 2-0 win over Manchester United, they were on a 5-game winless run and in the bottom half of the table. Some resurgence of sorts has seen them win two games in a row, their most recent being a 1-0 hard-fought win over Championship side Leeds in domestic cup affairs.

There is a lot of belief from the Gunners camp and a strong finish to the rest of the season is just what Arteta will be eyeing. Derbies are never predictable especially in the Premier League and it will be interesting to see the two almost similar teams level up. The Gunners will be out for maximum points given their difficult upcoming fixtures against Sheffield United and Chelsea while Crystal Palace will have the home crowd backing them up for glory.

Crystal Palace is outdoing itself this season. The Roy Hodgson led side are well in line for a top-six berth. Should they win here, they will be tied on points with 5th placed Manchester United. Last season 12th place finish will be bettered if the Eagles continue their winning ways.
