Here's our Everton vs Burnley Prediction analysis: Everton vs Burnley PredictionEverton vs Burnley Prediction and Preview for Saturday's EPL Boxing Day fixture. Everton have found a sort of rhythm after an abysmal start to the season and will play host to Burnley at Goodison Park.
Match status: 2019/20 Premier League - Matchweek 19
Kick-off:
Venue: Goodison Park (Liverpool)
Following a disastrous start to the season which saw them rooted firmly in the relegation zone, Everton are gradually picking form, and at the right moment.

Experienced manager, Carlo Ancelotti will take charge of his first match as Everton boss following Duncan Ferguson’s time as interim boss. The Scot didn’t perform badly, defeating Chelsea and nicking draws against Manchester United and Arsenal. Ancelotti became available following his dismissal at Napoli and the Toffees couldn’t pass up the opportunity to sign him up.

The Italian has enjoyed vast success during his coaching career, but he faces an entirely different challenge.

The Merseyside giants have performed way below expectations this season and are currently placed 15th on the table with just 19 points from their 18 games. Regardless, the home side are unbeaten in their last three games in the Premier League.

As for Burnley, they have overcome a run of three straight league defeats to win their last two matches. The Clarets have had an average season so far, as evidenced by their league standing. They are currently placed 10th on the league table with 7 wins from their 18 games so far.

Dyche’s men are just 4 points from Sheffield United in fifth and a win here could well see them in and around the Europa League positions. They will surely fancy their chances against an out of sorts Everton side.

Everton vs Burnley Team News

Following their heroics away to Man United at Old Trafford, Everton played out a second successive draw at home to struggling Arsenal.

Despite enjoying a huge share of possession and chances, the Toffees were unable to find their way past the visitors and miserably finished the match with no attempts on target. They are undefeated in their last three league matches and are entering a sequence of matches where it is highly possible for them to put together some sort of run.

Everton have one of the worst defensive records in the league and have only conceded a lesser number of goals than the bottom four sides. They have also struggled for form in front of goal and their 20 goals this term places them as the joint 4th lowest scoring side in the Premier League.

Sean Dyche’s Burnley were not particularly impressive last time out against Bournemouth, but they did manage to get the job done. Jay Rodriguez’s goal, which was incidentally the only shot on target of the game was enough for them to take all three points home.

That was their second successive league win following a run of three straight defeats. The Clarets are renowned for being particularly tough nuts to crack, but that hasn’t been the case this term. Same has Everton, they have conceded 29 times this season and currently have a goal difference of -6.
