This final group match makes little sense for the Blaugrana as they have already booked a place in the subsequent phase of the competition, boasting a fine record of W4 D1 and with 13 points having won arguably the toughest group of all.

That only draw came when Ernesto Valverde's men failed to hold on to their 1-0 lead against Inter courtesy of Mauricio Icardi's late equaliser before they wrapped up the top spot with a 2-1 win over PSV following the score draw in Italy.

Unlike the Spanish champions, who can afford to make a casual approach here, the Spurs will be looking for three points only as they reach the climax of Group B and will try and beat Inter Milan - with whom they're level on 7 points - to the 2nd place to put them through in this season's Champions League.

And perhaps it's the most appropriate time to face Barca now for the Londoners because it would be quite a task for them were the hosts to have to give their best, despite being in excellent form of four consecutive wins as yet. Besides, Mauricio Pochettino's men themselves look to have entered their peak form so far this season, since the beginning of November registering a record seven wins and one loss - to Arsenal on 2nd December - including CL victories against PSV and Inter.
