Chelsea confirm signing of Everton midfielder Ross Barkley
The 24-year-old England footballer is due to pass a medical at Chelsea on Friday as he prepares to move to Stamford Bridge for an initial ?15m.
Barkley had been linked with a move to the Blues last summer, only for the midfielder to decline the last offer on 31 August, saying he is still committed to Toffees.
Having rejected to extend his contract with Everton which expires at the end of this season, The Englishman has yet to play part in this Premier League campaign and is most likely to leave his boyhood club.
Joined Everton as an 11-year-old boy in 2005, Ross Barkley has played 150 top-flight matches and scored 21 times since 2011, when he was first involved in first-team under David Moyes.
