Tranmere Rovers will host Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool at Prenton Park in their first pre-season game on Friday, 8th July 2016. The Reds Manager is expected to kick-off his pre-season campaign on a strong note and he is expected to field a strong squad for the game. Liverpool finished 9th position in the English Premier League, thus failing to qualify for any of the Europe competitions (Uefa Champions League and Uefa Europa League). They will now have the luxury of concentrating only on domestic competition when the new campaign starts and will have all eyes to challenge for the Premier League trophy. Tranmere may not be a tough test for them but it will help Klopp and his staff to check for areas to strengthen and upgrade in this transfer window.
Tranmere Rovers finished 6th in the National League table during the last campaign and has since be preparing for ahead of this tough test, they will hope to get something out of this game to boost their morale ahead of the new season.
