Tottenham v Arsenal Team News

Both sides will know the game is winnable going into it, they both have inconsistent form, and this should lead to a very interesting game.

This derby will be the third game in the run of demanding fixture list for Spurs, who have already faced Manchester United and Liverpool, in the last two league games.

Tottenham head into the derby in good form. They are unbeaten in their last 10 games with the most recent being a thrilling 2-2 draw against Liverpool at Anfield and a 2-0 win over Manchester United at Wembley. They’ve been regularly scoring numbers of goals and boast great home records, which does promise another exciting day at their temporary home.

Tottenham managed to avoid an upset in midweek as they fairly comfortably beat Newport County in their FA Cup 4th Round Replay, although the fact it was taken to a return leg at Wembley is a worry in itself. Still, they remain in the competition and have the Champions League coming up next week, so the season is still very much alive for Mauricio Pocchettino’s men.

Harry Kane will be the man to watch as he continues to be on top form for Spurs, finding the net an impressive 22 time so far this season.

Arsenal come into the match on the back of a great win over Everton, extending a furious spell of form in front of the home crowd, that was inspired by the new arrivals from Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United. The January signings, Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan both, made their full Premier League debut in the game.

However, we’ve seen them much more troubled on the road – as the 3-1 loss at unpredictable Swansea City came as a third loss in five games, together with just two draws earned along the way.

The win against the Toffees meant Wenger’s men have won three of their last four games in all competitions. However, Arsenal have only managed to pick up eight points from the possible 18, in the last six games in the Premier League, not the perfect start of the year for Arsene Wenger.

Teams' Potential Starting Line-ups:

Tottenham (4-2-3-1): Lloris; Davies, Vertonghen, Sánchez, Trippier; Dembélé, Dier; Eriksen, Alli, Heung-Min; Kane.

Arsenal (4-2-3-1): Cech; Monreal, Mustafi, Koscielny, Bellerín; Xhaka, Ramsey; Mkhitaryan, Özil, Iwobi; Aubameyang.

Injured or Suspended Players:

Tottenham: No missing players.

Arsenal: Santi Cazorla is Wenger's only other injury concern here.

Tottenham vs Arsenal Predictions

In fact, away from home in the league, The Gunners have won just three of their 13 matches, drawing four times and losing the remaining six. This includes two defeats in their last two away to Bournemouth and Swansea, so backing a Tottenham win on Saturday looks the best option.
Main Match Predictions:
Tottenham to Win at Evens @ 2.01 (1/1)
Both sides will be desperate not to lose this game and hand three points to their rivals as they fight side-by-side in the league for a Champions League spot. Spurs got the better of Arsenal with a 2-0 victory in the last London derby at White Hart Lane which Arsenal then repaid with a 2-0 victory at The Emirates in November.

This fixture has seen both sides score in a game on 34 occasions in the PL, more than any other fixture in the competition. Arsenal have kept just one clean sheet in their last 11 games in all competitions, while Spurs have scored at least once in each of their last 18 games. Therefore, our prediction is for the match to end a 2-1 for Spurs.
Correct Score:
Tottenham 2-1 Arsenal @ 8.50 (15/2)
