Tottenham v Arsenal Team News

Both sides will know the game is winnable going into it, they both have inconsistent form, and this should lead to a very interesting game.

This derby will be the third game in the run of demanding fixture list for Spurs, who have already faced Manchester United and Liverpool, in the last two league games.

Tottenham head into the derby in good form. They are unbeaten in their last 10 games with the most recent being a thrilling 2-2 draw against Liverpool at Anfield and a 2-0 win over Manchester United at Wembley. They’ve been regularly scoring numbers of goals and boast great home records, which does promise another exciting day at their temporary home.

Tottenham managed to avoid an upset in midweek as they fairly comfortably beat Newport County in their FA Cup 4th Round Replay, although the fact it was taken to a return leg at Wembley is a worry in itself. Still, they remain in the competition and have the Champions League coming up next week, so the season is still very much alive for Mauricio Pocchettino’s men.

Harry Kane will be the man to watch as he continues to be on top form for Spurs, finding the net an impressive 22 time so far this season.

Arsenal come into the match on the back of a great win over Everton, extending a furious spell of form in front of the home crowd, that was inspired by the new arrivals from Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United. The January signings, Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan both, made their full Premier League debut in the game.

However, we’ve seen them much more troubled on the road – as the 3-1 loss at unpredictable Swansea City came as a third loss in five games, together with just two draws earned along the way.

The win against the Toffees meant Wenger’s men have won three of their last four games in all competitions. However, Arsenal have only managed to pick up eight points from the possible 18, in the last six games in the Premier League, not the perfect start of the year for Arsene Wenger.
