Copa America: Argentina win third-place play-off against Chile

The third-place match between Argentina and Chile at the 2019 Copa America has finished.

Messi was sent off just in his second game of the career, together with Chile's Garry Medel, after the two angered at each other in a little physical clash - nothing special and worth sending off - yer received harsh straight red cards.

Having the VAR system to check specific moments, referee Mario Diaz de Vivar opted against reviewing the Medel-Messi case. Ironically, he would use the new technology after giving a penalty to Chile before his assistants up there signalled for a review. The penalty was rightly given and it was pretty much what Chile made out of this game.
