Here's our Tottenham vs West Ham Prediction analysis: Once cheerful, animated and bubbly; Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho now cuts a forlorn figure down the touchline. For a manager once known to be friendly with the media, it is pretty disturbing watching the Portuguese attempt boycotting his press conferences recently.
Match status: 2019-20 Premier League - Matchweek 31
Kick-off:
Venue: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (London)
Surely, Mourinho’s glory days are long gone. Having led FC Porto and Inter Milan to Champions League success earlier in his career, the future promised much for the then-juvenile gaffer. He garnered more accolades during his time at Chelsea and Real Madrid.

However, in recent years, it appears the Portuguese gaffer has lost his Midas touch. Following an ill-fated spell at Old Trafford, Mourinho took over the reins at Tottenham, looking to bring the Lilywhites’ faltering campaign back on track.

Nine points off the Champions League places, it will take something really special for Mourinho to steer his side to a top-four finish come the end of the season. Taking on games one at a time, next up for the Lilywhites is a clash against relegation-threatened West Ham United on Tuesday night.
With kick-off fast approaching, we really want to know – Will the real Tottenham Hotspur please stand up?

Tottenham vs West Ham Team News

It has been a pretty disappointing campaign for Tottenham so far. Following a slow start to the campaign, they made the controversial decision of booting Mauricio Pochettino out of the club. Contemplating on possible replacements, Mourinho’s “title-winning mentality” made him the perfect candidate.

Playing host to fellow top-four hopefuls Manchester United last time out, the Lilywhites headed into the game with every intent of salvaging a positive result. As expected, Mourinho had his boys sit back, soak in all the pressure while looking to attack on the break.

This tactic worked to perfection as Bergwijn glided through the United defense before firing one into the net to give his side the lead inside 27 minutes. Late in the game, Bruno Fernandes stepped up to place a well-taken penalty kick into the bottom corner of the net to condemn Tottenham to a draw.

Flirtatious with relegation, West Ham were in dire need of points when they welcomed Wolves to the London Stadium, the former hoping to stage an unlikely upset to steer further clear of the drop-zone. Moyes’ charges were horrific all through, failing to muster any gilt-edged openings.

Note of warning to the Irons – you cannot win a Premier League game playing this way! Wolves looked comfortable for large portions of the game with Jimenez and Neto getting on the scoresheet to post all three points on board. Once again, the Hammers headed home empty-handed.

For this fixture, Tottenham are clear favorites for the win. They have been one of the best Premier League teams over the past five years and are currently in the running for a spot within the European places.

Meanwhile, the visiting contingent are winless in ten of their preceding eleven games across all competitions. In fact, since December, they have been on a 100% losing streak on the road. Can any team’s away record get any worse than this? I don’t think so.

Tottenham vs West Ham Predictions

West Ham’s horrendous form on the road is very disturbing. Despite laying about the drop-zone, the Irons are struggling to cope on the road. If they are to retain their Premier League status come the end of the season, they have to improve performance levels on their travels.

Top-four hopefuls Tottenham will be looking to take their relegation-threatened opposition to the cleaners in this fixture. It should be a stroll in the park for Jose Mourinho’s men. We can go for an outright home win with the Lilywhites registering no less than two goals before full-time.
