Here's our Leicester vs Chelsea Prediction analysis: Leicester vs Chelsea PredictionLeicester vs Chelsea Prediction and Preview for Saturday's EPL fixture. Leicester will be looking to consolidate their position in the top four of the Premier League table as they play host to Frank Lampard’s Chelsea in what promises to be a crunch EPL fixture.
Match status: 2019/20 Premier League - Matchweek 25
Kick-off:
Venue: King Power Stadium (Leicester)
The Foxes have suffered a series of disappointing defeats recently which has seen their position in the table drop. Nevertheless, Brendan Rodgers’ impressive work as Leicester manager means they are on course to make a return to the UEFA Champions League, four years after their last appearance in the competition.

Chelsea, meanwhile, make the trip to the King Power Stadium in what kick starts a tough run of fixtures in the month of February. The Blues face Man United, Tottenham, Bournemouth, and Everton in their next four fixtures, as well as the first leg of their UCL round of 16 match against German champions, Bayern Munich.

Occupying the last Champions League spot, and with the likes of Man United and Wolves breathing hard down their necks, Frank Lampard will be hoping his side comes out of this set of fixtures with their position in the top four intact.

Leicester vs Chelsea Team News

Last time out, Leicester brought their two-match losing streak to an abrupt end with a 4-1 hammering of relegation-battlers, West Ham United. Goals from Harvey Barnes, Ricardo Pereira, and a late Ayoze Perez brace were enough to ensure The Foxes maintain an eight-point gap over Chelsea in fourth.

Leicester have now won fifteen of their twenty-four league matches so far, and are comfortably placed eight points ahead of Chelsea in fourth, and just three behind Man City in fourth.

Following the loss of talismanic defender, Harry Maguire to Manchester United in a big-money summer move, it would be understandable if Leicester had suffered a bit in defence this season, but the Foxes have fared admirably well in his absence. They have conceded only twenty-four goals this term, which is the third best record in the Premier League. In attack, Leicester are also red-hot, and they boast the third-best attacking record with an astonishing fifty-two goals scored so far.

Brendan Rodgers’ side have turned the King Power Stadium into a fortress this term, having lost just two games there all season; They have also found the back of the net in all, but two of their league encounters at home.

Chelsea, on the other hand, were held to a disappointing 2-2 draw by ten-man Arsenal in their latest league outing. The Blues failed to capitalise on David Luiz’s early sending off, and were twice pegged back by an Arsenal side determined to leave with a share of the spoils. Lampard’s men have now failed to record a win in their last four league outings, but maintain a six-point gap over Manchester United in fifth.

Chelsea have been pretty decent away from home this term, with majority of their victories coming on the road. In attack, the blues are doing pretty well, and have hit the back of the net forty-one times – fourth best in the league. It is Chelsea’s defence, however, that is giving Frank Lampard sleepless nights. Thirty-two goals conceded in twenty-four league outings is, simply not good enough for a side pursuing Champions League football, and Chelsea need to improve that record in order to boost their chances of qualification.

We are set for an enthralling match of football between these heavyweights in what promises to be a good advert for English football.

Leicester vs Chelsea Predictions

Both Leicester and Chelsea seem to have no difficulties finding the back of the net; hence, you can expect to witness a couple of goals in this one. Leicester have to be considered slight favourites to nick this one, considering the fact they are playing at home, and are in better form. However, they come up against a Chelsea side that understand fully the risks of dropping any more points; therefore, securing a win is not going to be a walk in the park.
