Here's our West Ham vs Tottenham Prediction analysis: West Ham vs Tottenham PredictionWest Ham vs Tottenham Prediction and Preview for Saturday's EPL fixture. Off-the-pitch issues regarding the sacking of long-time Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino and the appointment of the controversial Jose Mourinho at the Olympic Stadium have clouded pre-match proceedings, heading into this fixture.
Match status: 2019/20 Premier League - Matchweek 13
Kick-off:
Following a disastrous start to the season which has seen them drop as low as 14th on the league table, the Spurs’ hierarchy were forced to take action as they decided to kick Mauricio Pochettino out of the club.

The Spaniard must have been left disappointed on receiving his lay-off letter, having single-handedly turned this Spurs team into a force to reckon with in England since his appointment in 2014. He even led them to the Champions League final earlier this year, before losing the title to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

Despite his exploits at the club, he has been shown the exit. This sport is called football and it can be really unkind to managers. Mauricio Pochettino should not take the axe the wrong way as even the most legendary of managers have gotten the sack at one point or the other.

West Ham v Tottenham Team News

The hosts were condemned to back-to-back defeats for the second time this season, after Burnley poked three unanswered goals past them on the road to secure maximum points last time out in the league.

A dreadful run of form which has seen them pick up a single point from their last five fixtures has left manager Manuel Pellegrini feeling the heat the club. They sit 16th on the standings, just five points above the drop zone.

They have suffered the same fate even on home soil, having failed to register a single win in their last three fixtures on this ground. Their most recent match-up at the Olympic Stadium saw them go down to bare bones in a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Newcastle United.

Jose Mourinho is back in London, though at the Northern part of the city this time around and will be overseeing his first game in charge at the club against West Ham United. Since his sacking at Manchester United last year, the Portuguese manager has taken a much-needed break from management, often seen working as a pundit for various broadcasting channels.

Tottenham have endured a poor start to the season, which is reflected by their league position. They have failed to register a single win from their last five league attempts, leaving them just two spots ahead of West Ham with a slender one-point cushion.

Spurs are still yet to register an away win this season, their last away clash against Everton ending in a one-all draw, after Dele Alli’s sublime opener was cancelled by a Cenk Tosun strike late into stoppage time.

However, despite their woes this season, Tottenham’s attacking frontline have certainly had their guns blazing on their travels, having racked up seven goals this campaign. The hosts on the other hand, have looked sharp in the final third as well, registering two or more goals in three of their last five clashes on this ground.

West Ham vs Tottenham Predictions

Nobody knows what to expect in this one, given that Spurs will have a new manager in Jose Mourinho, take charge of this match. The manager is likely to bring in his own philosophies which the Spurs players will need adapting to.

As such, this Tottenham may not look so polished in this game as they will be adjusting to new tactics and a new manager. I reckon Mourinho to begin his career at the London club with a draw as he tries to bring his new players to adapt to his style of play.

Expect this to be an entertaining and enthralling game, with both sides sharing the spoils at the end of the ninety minutes.
