Chelsea v Newcastle

In this weekend’s early kick-off, a buoyant Chelsea side with seven wins and one draw in their eight last Premier League (PL) matches welcome an out-of-sorts Newcastle side to Stamford Bridge. The visitors managed a draw in midweek, but have only recorded one win in their last nine matches (D3, L5) and have taken just one point in their last five - the joint worst form in the league.

Chelsea’s 1-0 win against Swansea in midweek was their second 1-0 win at home in a row. And this fits in a pattern: five of Chelsea's seven home matches this season have ended under 2.5 goals, four of those also under 1.5. Newcastle are more black and white: of seven away matches, four have ended with under 1.5 goals, while the remaining three have all finished with over 3.5 scored.

Prediction: Goals Under 3.5 at odds of 1.53 with Betfair

Watford v Tottenham

Tottenham come into this game after losing three of their last five in the league in a run of results that has seen them slide down the table to seventh place, just three points and one place above Watford. The hosts are on a fairly bad run themselves, winning just two of their last six.

With a historical record of W28, D8, L7, Tottenham have the upper hand, and visit Watford on the back of seven straight wins in all competitions over the Hertfordshire club. Three is another magic number for Tottenham, having historically scored 3+ goals against Watford every 3.07 games on average.

Across all competitions, Tottenham have scored against Watford in 14 out of their last 15 encounters. However, Watford are anything but goal-shy themselves, having scored 2+ goals in seven of their last eight league matches.

Prediction: Both Teams to Score at odds of 1.70 with Betfair

Leicester v Burnley

Leicester will look to continue their resurgence under new manager Claude Puel when they take on the Premier League (PL) surprise package Burnley. Both sides will look to improve their European chances with a win in this encounter.

The hosts had a horrendous start to the season (P6, W1, D1, L4) but have since picked up form after Puel took charge of the club (W2, D2, L1). Overall, after 14 games Leicester are ninth (17pts, W4, D5, L5).

Burnley have no such worries as they continue punching above their weight under Sean Dyche. Four wins in their last five PL encounters highlight their credentials as serious European contenders.

Both these sides are synchronous in clean sheets and scoring records. Leicester managed just two clean sheets out of seven home matches (29%) while Burnley managed the same away from home! Ditto with scoring, as Leicester have scored in all but one of their home fixtures (86%) and Burnley have managed the same on the road!

Prediction: Both Teams to Score at odds of 2.05 with Betfair

Arsenal v Manchester United

The last two games between these sides at the Emirates have both been won by Arsenal (2-0 & 3-0). The six-game form (all comps.) reads three wins for Arsenal, one for United and two draws, with an average of 2.83 goals a game in that time.

Both the Red Devils and the Gunners are amid three-match winning streaks in the PL, which will will end for one or both in this game. Arsenal thumped Huddersfield in their last game 5-0, while United won 4-2 at Watford.

Prediction: Goals Over 1.5 at odds of 1.30 with Betfair
